Rudi Garcia (LOSC coach)

"What were we missing tonight? To have played the whole game like we played the second half. We showed them too much respect in the first half, and that just allowed them to grow in confidence. Inter scored a great team goal, finished off by a piece of brilliance. Then they defended very well, in numbers, in the last 30 metres and with plenty of experience. I think we deserved to equalise. They took their chances and that's the sign of a great side at this level of the game."

"The one positive point is that we imposed our game on them in the second half and tried to get back on level terms. We were better when we changed our system. We defended pretty well and attacked pretty well. In the first half, the wings were open, but we just didn't have anyone in the box. Moussa was all alone, so it was easier to defend against him. In the second period, we looked dangerous because we got more numbers forward."

"Mathematically, we're in a little trouble in this group now. If we weren't able to win, we would have preferred not to lose. There's still everything to play for, we just need to win some points on the road. We'll go to Milan looking to create a real upset. We're last in the group and we've got nothing to lose in our next matches."

Claudio Ranieri (Inter Milan coach)

"The team reacted very well tonight and this win will do us the world of good. We celebrated that goal all the way to the bench, which proves the positive mentality of my players. The fact of the matter is that for once, everything went our way, despite our troubles in Serie A. I wanted to avoid a similar finish as in Catania, so I left three attackers out there so as not to unbalance the team. I'm very satisfied with the performance. We focused on the defence, especially when the LOSC were pushing hard late on. Julio Cesar also dealt with a few dangerous balls. Now we need to take this same success back into Serie A and call on the returning players such as Sneijder."

Aurélien Chedjou (LOSC defender)

"We didn't play badly, even if it's frustrating to have lost. In terms of the play, overall, it was pretty good, but it doesn't help us move forward in this competition. Mathematically is still possible, but our chances are very small now. We still hope to pull off an upset in Milan or Moscow. It's going to be tough. No-one is unbeatable. In the first half, we lacked rhythm and perhaps we showed a little too much respect to this Inter side. We played our game and there was a quality side opposite us. The fact that certain of our players are in the Champions League for the first time is also a factor against such an experienced Italian outfit.

Joe Cole (LOSC forward)

"The Champions League has been a source of so much frustration for us since the start of the season. I think we could easily have a few more points than the two we have now. But we've got a good squad with a good attitude; the team never gives up and will fight right to the end of this group stage. If we keep giving it as much as we did here then we can still hope we can qualify. We need to find solutions during games. Maybe we just lacked a bit of experience to find the solution this week. We have to make our own luck."
