LE CONTEXTE
Les matchs et les points défilent chaque semaine, aussi la victoire est-elle impérative pour donner le change au Paris-Saint Germain et à l'Olympique Lyonnais, et ainsi conserver le leadership de la Ligue 1. En face, le Merlu ne semble pas être un si gros poisson sur le papier (18e au classement avant la rencontre), mais méfiance ! Tombeurs du Paris-Saint Germain, entre autres faits d'armes récents, les hommes - en forme - de Christophe Pelissier restent sur une série de cinq matchs sans défaite en championnat...
LE MATCH
Après le score vierge de buts et même de frappes cadrées de LOSC-Stade Brestois dimanche dernier, difficile de bouder son plaisir d'une victoire au terme d'un match à cinq buts. Il faut dire que les Dogues, privés de Yilmaz (blessé) et confrontés à une équipe mal classée certes, mais orgueuilleuse, ont su provoquer leur nouvelle victoire. Appliqués et surtout efficaces, marquant sur la majorité de leurs offensives, les Lillois ont rapidement mis le pied sur le match en ouvrant le score grâce à une frappe de David, déviée par Gravillon dans ses propres cages après un remarquable travail de Çelik. L'illusion d'un come back, avec une égalisation éclair signée Hergault, fera long feu : José Fonte, d'un pétard bien éméché en sortie de surface de réparation, permettait aux Dogues de rentrer aux vestiaires avec l'avantage.
Mais comme face au PSG, Lorient sait puiser dans ses profils d'expérience pour renverser la vapeur ; alors les Lillois, encore marqués par la remontée de l'Ajax jeudi soir, ont fini le boulot sérieusement, d'abord par un coup franc direct signé Ikoné du gauche, et ensuite par un contre assassin mené par l'intenable Yazici et conclu par Bradaric, lui aussi décidé à tester sa frappe de loin. Alors ? Le résultat est sur le tableau d'affichage.
La Stat
On a beaucoup parlé de records cette saison au LOSC (série en cours), mais s'il vous en fallait un autre pour entamer votre semaine, sachez que - et c'est simplement historique depuis 1944 - le LOSC a remporté ses sept derniers déplacements en championnat ! Une domination jamais vue à Lille, qui témoigne autant qu'elle explique la force des Dogues aujourd'hui. On se souvient que le LOSC avait perdu de trop précieux points l'an passé à l'extérieur ; cette année, c'est une machine à gagner, ici ou là-bas.
L'HOMME
L'essuie-glaces. Le nettoyeur. Le taulier. Avec sa titularisation lors de ce FC Lorient-LOSC, voici 300 matchs que Benjamin étrenne son talent et son énergie en Ligue 1. Le milieu de terrain français, atout précieux dans la réussite des Dogues ce dimanche, sera une pièce importante dans le groupe de Christophe Galtier dans l'optique de cette fin de saison. A commencer par le retour face à l'Ajax (il était suspendu à l'aller).

LA SUITE
Encore un petit effort pour nos Dogues, avec une nouvelle semaine à deux matchs dont un déplacement périlleux à Amsterdam face à l'Ajax AFC, avec l'objectif d'y arracher une qualification en quarts de finale d'UEFA Europa League. Quant à la Ligue 1 Uber Eats, le rendez-vous est pris dimanche prochain, 17h05, pour la réception du RC Strasbourg Alsace. Quand on a l'ambition de nos Dogues, chaque match est une finale !
