Le contexte
Quand la lanterne rouge se dresse face au leader, la défaite est interdite dans les deux camps. Derniers du championnat au départ de cette 15ème journée avec 9 points dont une victoire, les hommes de David Linarès devront faire face à des Dogues plein d'appétit, forts de leur victoire face aux Girondins de Bordeaux quatre jours plus tôt. Le LOSC, privé notamment de Renato Sanches et Luiz Araujo, avait l'occasion de se maintenir en tête de la L1... et de prolonger notre plaisir, avant d'enchaîner deux rencontres de haut de classement face au PSG puis à Montpellier.
Le match
L'hiver s'est présenté en avance au Stade Gaston Gérard ? Qu'à cela ne tienne, Anthony Racioppi a pu compter sur nos Lillois pour se réchauffer les mains ! Le gardien bourguignons, alerté coup sur coup par Yazici (6' sur coup franc puis 8' sur une frappe excentrée mais puissante) et David (11' sur un service de l'insaisissable Ikoné), a préservé la virginité du score durant une petite vingtaine de minutes. La domination des blancs, de la couleur du maillot Third, était alors totale : 75% de possession dont 3 frappes cadrées. C'est le moment qu'a choisi Yusuf Yazici, l'un des hommes en forme du début de saison, pour ajuster le portier dijonnais d'une frappe solide sur une passe en retrait délicieuse de son compatriote Çelik (19'). L'ouverture du score, logique, n'inversera pas le cours du jeu en faveur du LOSC, mais en dépit de plusieurs occasions (un lob hors cadre d'Ikoné à la 31'), les 22 hommes en restent là à la pause.
La seconde mi-temps, avec neuf changements, voit le rythme ralentir et la maîtrise lilloise s'affirmer avec application. Peu d'espoirs pour les Bourguignons de revenir, sinon sur une mésentente Fonte/Maignan sans gravité (60'), tandis que les attaques lilloises sont plus espacées mais toujours redoutables, comme cette percée d'Ikoné sur un service de Bamba ou sur ce penalty refusé pour une faute de Ecuele Manga sur Yilmaz en toute fin de match. Un second but aurait permis aux Dogues de se mettre à l'abri, et c'est pour ça que Timothy Weah est là ! Dans les arrêts de jeu, l'American Boy pousse la défense dijonnaise à la faute, profite d'un mauvais renvoi pour contrôler et enchaîner un bijou de frappe, direction les filets. Victoire logique, victoire méritée, et victoire nécessaire pour se mettre à l'abri de ses concurrents directs, cette fois, au classement.
La stat
Et de 100 pour Christophe Galtier en Ligue 1, qui a conclu sa centième cape sur le banc lillois par une victoire. Arrivé en 2018, l'entraîneur des Dogues a depuis connu deux qualifications européennes et affiche un taux de 51% de victoires, soit le deuxième meilleur ratio parmi les entraîneurs de la riche histoire du club. La suite
Les festivités de fin d'année auront lieu avec un peu d'avance à Lille, où nos Dogues recevront le Paris Saint-Germain pour une soirée de gala ce dimanche soir à 21 heures. Avec un enjeu sportif de taille, puisque le vainqueur prendra une petite option sur le titre tout à fait honorifique, mais dont on ne se privera pas non plus, de champion d'automne !
